Sonic Community Fundraiser
Feed It Forward partnered with the Coppell High School National Honor Society (NHS) and Sonic Drive-In to host a community fundraiser benefiting our mission of feeding individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers promoted the event throughout the community, sold Sonic gift cards, and educated guests about the impact of Feed It Forward’s service initiatives. Through meaningful conversations, volunteers shared how community support helps fund meal preparation projects, food donations, and outreach efforts serving vulnerable populations across North Texas.
A highlight of the evening was a friendly hot dog eating competition between Feed It Forward founder Philip Fordjour and Coppell High School Coach Gonzo. The competition generated excitement, increased attendance, and created a fun atmosphere that encouraged community involvement while supporting a meaningful cause. Through Sonic’s partnership, 40% of event proceeds were donated directly to Feed It Forward. Combined with gift card sales and community participation, the fundraiser generated over $500 to support future meal service projects and expand our efforts to combat hunger throughout the community.
