Simmons Family Gateway Center

Feed It Forward partnered with the Simmons Family Gateway Center to prepare and serve nutritious meals for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Volunteers collaborated throughout the planning process by selecting a menu, purchasing ingredients, and preparing a fresh meal consisting of sliders, corn, and salad. From food preparation to packaging and transportation, every step required teamwork, dedication, and a commitment to serving others with excellence.

Upon arriving at the shelter, volunteers distributed meals and spent time interacting with guests, creating opportunities for meaningful connection and encouragement. Through this service project, Feed It Forward provided freshly prepared meals to more than 150 individuals. In addition, our organization donated over 230 pounds of food and contributed more than $400 worth of food products to support the shelter’s ongoing mission of assisting families experiencing homelessness. This partnership exemplified the impact that compassionate service and community collaboration can have on those facing difficult circumstances.
