Austin Street Center Service Project

In partnership with Austin Street Center, Feed It Forward organized a three-day meal preparation and service initiative to support individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the Dallas area. During the first two days, volunteers dedicated countless hours to planning, purchasing ingredients, preparing food, and organizing meal components. The menu featured tortillas, seasoned chicken, beef, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, salsa, and bottled water. Every ingredient was carefully prepared and packaged to ensure efficient meal service while maintaining high standards of quality and nutrition.

On the final day, volunteers traveled to Austin Street Center to serve meals directly to guests. In addition to providing food, volunteers engaged with individuals through conversation and fellowship, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment. Through this initiative, Feed It Forward served more than 300 individuals, donated over 400 pounds of food, and contributed more than $750 worth of food products to support the center’s ongoing programs. This project represented one of our largest service efforts and highlighted the collective impact that dedicated volunteers can make when united by a common purpose.
